Zhi-Yin didn't exactly enjoy the gala. The attention to his hairpins certainly threw him off. But this place. This was paradise. Darcy cautiously approached Zhi-Yin, making enough noise to signal he was there without startling the other man, while still being cautious around the stranger. "Ah, hello." He greeted curiously. "Are you looking for something?" @Gab || Armand 🐠|Zhi-Yin 🌬

"Hm? Oh, nothing in particular. I've just never seen anything so overtaken by nature before. There has to be something useful in here to be sure." He identified a few things, but he turned his attention to the stranger. "I don't believe I have yet met you. My name if Luo Zhi-Yin." "Mhm, it is pretty overgrown..." Darcy agreed. "Useful? Do you study plants?" "Ah, I don't think we have met. I'm Darcy Sterling," He returned the bow. "It's good to meet you, Zhi-Yin." @Gab || Armand 🐠|Zhi-Yin 🌬

Zhi-Yin nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I'm an apothecary by trade. Most of my ingredients are harvested, much less costly than having them delivered." His gaze was once again drifting towards the plants. "And the pleasure is all mine, Mr. Sterling." @innsjo | kyrie🪶+ darcy🖋+npcs

"Oh, fascinating. It'll be good to have someone who knows their way around medicines here, incase we loose the Lifebringer's good will." He thought out loud. "Ah, please, just call me Darcy. Only my students call me 'Mr. Sterling'." He laughed. @Gab || Armand 🐠|Zhi-Yin 🌬

"Of course, my apologies Darcy." He smiled, probably the first time he has done so since he departed from Leo. "Of course, the Lifebringer. I must admit I still don't fully understand it all, but trying to understand a divine being you never believed existed will naturally be difficult to comprehend." @innsjo | kyrie🪶+ darcy🖋+npcs

"It's no issue." He smiled in return, reassuringly. "Yes... I'm unfortunately familiar, but I'm also confounded by... some things that pertain to them." @Gab || Armand 🐠|Zhi-Yin 🌬

"You are... familliar? How so? If I may ask of course, you do not have to answer." Zhi-Yin was very unsure if this is even something Darcy would want to talk about. But he did want to know. @innsjo | kyrie🪶+ darcy🖋+npcs

"About four years ago, I attended a different tournament run by a man that claimed to be the Lifebringer." Darcy explained. "A few others here have also been to it." @Gab || Armand 🐠|Zhi-Yin 🌬

Zhi-Yin held back a gasp. He looked quite horriified. "Y-you mean this has happened before? Not only that, it's happened before to multiple people?? S-surely that means everyone was alright in the end, right?" (edited)

Zhi-Yin was scared... But he really didn't wanna show it. "I see. I suppose for my own sake I'll have to hope I'm not one of them." He let out a defeated chuckle. He turned around and moved, gesturing to a plant. "This one. I'm not sure what you'd call it but they should be useful if I remember correctly." He crouched down for a closer look. "Mhm.... I hope we can all get out, this time." Darcy sighed. He turned his attention back to the plants as Zhi-Yin did. Darcy had to crouch down to the plant to make out any of its identifying characteristics. "Hmm.... that's good. I can't say I'm familiar with any of these plants, personally, but I've never studied botany or horticulture." @Gab || Armand 🐠|Zhi-Yin 🌬

"Mhm. I'm rather good with languages, though I don't know how useful that would be." Darcy hummed, and glanced up at the sky. "Huh. I didn't notice how late it'd gotten. I think I'll be off to bed, now. I'll see you around." (edited)
