As Evan scampered down the hallway, he stressfully turned on his Tamagotchi. He clicked a few buttons and was so distracted by it that he hardly noticed if anyone was in the hallway. He unknowingly passed by Invo and Kal, sticking close to the walls as he tried to be unnoticed. With his gaze glued to the device in his hands, he didn’t have time to stop when someone opened the door to their room and exited. Evan bumped into them and yelped quietly, nearly dropping his device. “I-I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Evan apologized as he bowed his head. “I-I wasn’t l-looking where I was going-” @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

The person exiting stumbled into him and flinched away. They brought up their hands defensively, a terrorized look in their eye- the other covered by a mop of dark purple hair. As Evan apologized, they lowered their hands. The tension on their face easing into a small, lopsided smile. “Hh-hey, it’s- it’s okay! A-are you okay? I didn’t hurt you, did I?” The person looked a bit older than him, not quite an adult but still young. He was strangely pale, too. @Vanessa | Cansu🐥+Evan🔩+Kal🌟

Evan took in several deep breaths as he looked over Carrion. He relaxed slightly as they spoke. They seemed nice enough not to yell at him immediately, that was pretty nice. "I-I'm okay, I'm sorry," Evan spoke as he pocketed his Tamagotchi. "I'm just fine. I-I'm sorry for not looking where I was going.." @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

“I-it’s okay, really, I promise- y-you just, ah.. s-surprised me! Ha, um, I’m Carrion, what’s- what’s your name?” Their hands fidgeted with their robe, they seemed to be trying to cover their neck. A strange, black scar ran along their throat. @Vanessa | Cansu🐥+Evan🔩+Kal🌟

"Y-yeah, I'm sorry- I didn't mean to scare you," Evan took in a deep breath. His hands fidgeted with his robe slightly. "I-I'm Evan, i-it's nice to meet you, Carrion." He made sure not to look at the scar. He didn't want to appear rude or inconsiderate. @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

Tried as they might, the cloth would not cover the wound. “Evan, hmmm, nice t-to meet you t-too! A-and it’s okay! I don’t- I don’t get scared. Hmm.. hey, do you- do you know wh-where we are?” @Vanessa | Cansu🐥+Evan🔩+Kal🌟

“U-umm- I’m not sure- I know it’s a Citadel, but- I don’t know much else about it, I-I’m sorry,” Evan apologized. @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

They tilted their head with a slight frown. “Huh, a c..citadel.” Still no word from Yoli, it might know what that means. And what was going on. The smile quickly returned. “Hmmm.. Hey, Evan, do you wanna ex- explore with me? I- it’d be good t-to know wh- where we are!” @Vanessa | Cansu🐥+Evan🔩+Kal🌟

“O-oh- Uhm- Sure! We can do that!” Evan managed a small, nervous smile. “I was planning on doing the same thing, so- Yeah, we can- Do that together.” @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

Carrion nods, their smile growing. “Great! W-we can sst- stick t-together. Hmmm.. hey, d- do you wanna find something to eat? I, ha, I haven’t.. had anything to eat in a bit..” His fingers twist through his hair as he speaks. @Vanessa | Cansu🐥+Evan🔩+Kal🌟

The last thing Evan was supposed to have eaten was dinner that his father would've made. It was going to be one of Evan's favorite meals. Tears filled Evan's eyes, but he did his best to suppress his tears. The boy gave a nod of his head. "S-sure, we can- We can do that.. I w-wouldn't mind eating.. The last thing I've had in me was the broth Albanes had me drink.." @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

A combination of hunger and terrible vision caused Carrion to completely miss Evan’s reaction. “Great! Let’s- let’s go then. Mm.. who’s A-Albanes?” Carrion slowly began walking, seeming to be waiting for Evan. @Vanessa | Cansu🐥+Evan🔩+Kal🌟

“O-Oh- Albanes! She’s the Lifebringer,” Evan scampered after Carrion. “She’s nice. Sh-she offered to go birdwatching with me. She’s nice.” @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄
