Gale stepped a bit closer, shaking out her hands lightly. “Pretty nice place to wander, it’s real pretty from up in the sky. Well, went to that Gala thing last night, then ditched with Kyrie- have you met Kyrie?” @kipology (edited)

"From above, huh?" Ellie hummed, peering up at the sky. "Hm! Well, I might see what it looks like from up in the sky at some point, then!" "Kyrie," it repeated, cocking it's head to the side. "I don't think I have yet. I didn't really talk to a lotta people here yet." Right. Yeah. The whole Gala thing. "I'll be honest, I don't remember much 'bout the Gala. I kind of zoned out after the announcements." @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

Gale gets a bright smile on their face. “Ellie- can you fly too!? Oh, we have got to go flying together!! Me and Kyr were flying around last night- it was, ha, um, it was really nice..” She seems to blush for a moment before clearing her throat. “I think you’d really like Kyrie, man, we should all go flying sometime..” @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

Ellie nodded eagerly, unable to hide her grin. "Mhm! I can fly, yeah! My powers come in pretty handy with it, though it's not in the most...traditional kinda way." If it noticed the tinge of color to Gale's cheeks, it didn't mention it, only cocking it's head to the side. "Flying around at night is definitely fun," she laughed. "Flying up above the clouds, stars in the sky, moon up above- I wouldn't mind going flying! I think it'd be pretty fun, especially if it's with you guys." @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

“Not traditional, huh? Hmm, you’re just making me more curious, Ellie. Maybe.. you could show me?” She grinned. @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

"Sure!" Ellie beamed, setting her hands on her hips. "I wouldn't mind showing you! I'll let you know, though it's not really th'traditional way, it migyt be a biiit familiar to you actually," she said, winking playfully. "You did a bit of it before landing here, y'know?" @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

Gale nodded. “Ohh, I see- well now you gotta show me! I wanna see how you do it.” @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

"Well, if you insist," she playfully laughed, slinging her camera around her shoulder as she took a step back from Gale. "A fair warning though- I'm a biiit rusty." Ellie shuffled back just a smiiidge more before it clapped it's hands together with a sharp, crisp, "Stige!" Instantly, there was a powerful gust of wind, twisting and twirling around the two of them. If Gale squinted enough, she could catch a few dandelion florets caught in the gust. She easily hopped off the ground, hovering in the air a few feet above Gale as she grinned brightly at her. Around her wrists appeared to be two rings of wind- or were those magic circles? Underneath her sandals, however- now those were rings of wind. "It's kinda! I kind of took this move from a movie I watched," she admitted with a laugh, the wind already starting to die down. "Not really conventional, but hey, it works! So." @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄 (edited)

Gale watched it, excitement clear on their face. “Holy shit- Ellie that’s so fucking cool!! Man- you can actually see the wind, that’s so fucking cool!! Haha!!” She reached her hand towards the rings of wind curiously. @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

Ellie's smile only widened as Gale spoke, and she laughed a little, tucking a few stray strands of hair behind her ear. "Well, thank you! I think it's pret-ty cool, too!" As Gale reached towards the rings of wind, she would notice that the wind was only picking up from there- it was picking up with such a force that it would feel near impossible to push past. But if she managed to poke through that barrier of wind, it was...still! Like the eye of a hurricane, the inside of the ring was all still and cool, and little florets would graze by their skin. @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

The stillness within the ring of wind was fascinating. “Duuuude this is so cool! Your powers are so different from mine.. Can you put those rings on stuff other than yourself?” @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

"I'unno! Maybe I can- I've never actually tried it before," Ellie sheepishly admitted. "But I could definitely try putting it on stuff?" Still hovering above Gale, Ellie leaned down a bit curiously. "I'm curious, how do your powers work? Like- how do you fly and- and move stuff around with your powers?" @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

“Aw, you should try it sometime! Experiment and all that.” As Ellie leaned in, Gale smiled sheepishly as she rubbed her neck. “Aw jeez, my powers are.. weird to say the least. Uh, long story short I can pretty much.. make oxygen? I- I don’t really get how but it just kinda. It’s like how plants just do that but without sun and- anyway- Again I don’t really get how exactly I do it but if I sorta.. focus on that air within and the weightlessness of it.. I can float? And I can control the wind to make it move me around and stuff.” She lets out a dry laugh. “Sorry that explanation sucks-“ @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

"You can make oxygen?" Ellie gasped, eyes shimmering with awe. "I- woah, hey, that's incredible! I- oh, wow! It- it's not a bad explanation or anything- trust me, I don't really get how magic...work-works, either, but- just-" Ellie gestured a bit with her hands, trying her best to word things; "Like- you can just focus on the sensation of air, kind of? And you can just fly?" it asked, absolutely awed. "Like, by making it? That's amazing, Gale!" @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

Gale couldn’t help but grin at Ellie’s amazement. “Heh, thanks.. it is pretty cool. Uh, yeah I just.. like yknow how- it feels like floating in water to me, I guess. Here, I’ll just show ya-“ Gale pauses for a moment, taking a breath- and suddenly leans back like a trust fall. But instead of hitting the ground, their body floats above it, lightly disturbing the grass below them. “..Just like that, no colors or anything pretty like yours, heh.” @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

With a little gasp of awe, Ellie watched as Gale simply fell- and never landed. "I- oh!" Ellie landed as the rings of wind dispersed, and quickly dropped to it's knees to further examine...whatever it was that Gale was doing. It lightly swiped it's hand between the grass and Gale for a moment before immediately sitting back up to look at Gale. Wow. Wow! "Pfft, magic doesn't have to be pretty or colorful to be neat!" Ellie quickly said, clasping it's hands together with a bright grin. "It's still incredible, Gale! You're incredible! I- h- I'd ask how, but you explained, but still! As Ellie would wave her hand, it would feel like putting your hand over a fan. Gale smiled proudly. “Heheh, thanks! You’re pretty incredible too, Ellie.” She held out a closed fist to it. (Fist bump!!) @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

"Oh, wow," Ellie murmured, feeling the wind underneath her palm. "Oh, that's nuts!" It looked up with surprise as Gale extended their hand, though it quickly shifted into a grin of delight. "Well, guess that makes two of us!" she laughed, lightly bumping it's fist against hers. "Two gals with neat wind powers!" "Well- hey, three, maybe! You said Kyrie can fly too, yeah?" she asked, pushing herself back up to her feet as she brushed the grass bits off her robe. "Does she have wind powers, or somethin' of the sort?" @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄

As their fists bumped together Gale was lightly pushed back, bubbling a laugh out of her. “Heheh! Hell yeah, we’re fucking great man, heheh.” Gale raised themself up to their feet, landing lightly on the grass. “Yeah, Kyrie doesn’t have wind powers though- she has wings, it’s really cool. She’s a corvi? If you’ve ever heard of em. She’s real neat.” They gestured with their hands as they spoke, clearly excited. @Kip | Ace 🏹 / Ellie 📷

"Augh- sorry! I forgot all about my powers," she laughed, shaking her hands a bit. The wind rings disappeared into a haze of florets and nothingness, and she eventually clasped her hands together as Gale spoke. "A corvi- I don't think I've actually heard of them! I'd assume that it's related to the wings part, yeah?" Ellie playfully asked. She couldn't help but grin at how excited Gale seemed to be when they spoke, and she cocked her head to the side. "So that's what you meant by goin' flying with her!" "Dooo...you think she'd like to go flying with us?" @Sauce | Gale🌪+Carrion🍄
