On the edge of the village is the forest. Dense wood surrounds the settlement almost completely, isolating it almost as much as the rocky walls of the mountains. The wood is dense and dark- almost foreboding, but it is far from silent. Even when standing by its edge, one can hear the various noises of life. Perhaps, it’s best not to venture too far alone…

Levi woke from what would feel like an incredibly deep sleep, to find he wasn't in the arena anymore. He was outdoors, in a dense, temperal forest. He'd also feel... perfectly fine. No aches or pains one might typically expect from the burn wounds he had sustained- no scarring, either. The forest around him was dense, but pleasant. He'd be able to hear the chirping of birds and the buzzing of insects around him. He'd landed in a patch of soft kudzu vine, which seemed to be overtaking most of the forest. It was early moring- there was a slight fog on the air, and he could see the sun rising through the trees. His powers were also suppressed- not entirely gone, but not entirely there. He'd feel as if they were there, he just couldn't muster the strength to actually use them. @Barry|Lacey🔦+ Levi🫠

He bursts awake, sitting up as he breathes heavy as consciousness comes back to him. Rolling over as he pants, on his hands and knees. Why was he still alive? He thinks he's still alive. He... didn't he go back to that form? How can he still remember everything that-? He pauses. Eyes widening as he sees the cuffs are gone. A hand goes to his throat, fully realizing that the collar was gone as well. In a moment he tried to use his abilities but... something again was in the way. Pissing him off... some. Not as much as usual.... He... he was free? He was still him. He was free, he was free. He runs, no direction intended. He runs because he can and no one can stop him.

Isi woke from what would feel like an incredibly deep sleep, to find she wasn't in the arena anymore- but she was still in the woods. At least these woods weren't on fire. All her wounds from the fight were absent. She was back in the clothes she had been taken in. The woodland around her was dense and thick, and the night was warm. She was at the edge of the wood, and beyond it she could see the faint lights of a small town. Her powers were also suppressed- not entirely gone, but not entirely there. She'd feel as if they were there, she just couldn't muster the strength to actually use them. @sketti | Isi 🦌

Isi didn't have the mind to even realize she was gone gone yet. Maybe in some passive way she did but in her mind she was just so exhausted and terrifed. She didn't move, she simply sobbed, shoulders shaking as she hugged herself so tight her nails dug into her back. She stayed that way for a long time, until the sobs finally quieted and she allowed herself to blink up to the world around her, sniffling and still gasping.

Slowly, Isi unfurled herself, only really forcing herself out of her breakdown because everything was too quiet. Not quiet as in- she couldn't hear the creatures within the forest, but quiet as in she couldn't really hear them- she couldn't feel them. She started hyperventilating again and only then did she realize she was even breathing, and that this forest didn't make sense as far as..anything was concerned. It wasn't on fire. She wasn't burned. This wasn't the arena, There was no Kyrie and there was no Naiyta. She stood up on shaky legs. She had- lost, and it had touched her just like everyone else so, she's dead right? The thought sent another tremor through her. Now was when she thought of her friends, which just sent her into denial. This place felt too- alive for her to be dead. Maybe she wasn't, somehow. Maybe she could still get back to them. It was only with this thought that she managed to force her legs to move, walking out of the forest to the faint lights she could see. (edited)
