"GALE??" Ellie shouted into the wind, hands shielding her face from the sand. "HEY- HEY? KYRIE?"

Gale tried to wrangle down the wind, forcing the sand to blow away from their face.

The wind around Ellie stills significantly as she forces herself to her feet, the sand particles dropping down to the ground. It's this still, little bubble of tranquility, yet the wind continues harshly around her.
"STAY PUT!" Ellie cries out. Ow, ow, owie, that hurt her ears. "I'M- MOVING- STAY PUT!"
She covers her ears as she shouts, marching onward through the sand. Unfortunately, with the wind gone, she was kinda cookin' to death in her clothes.

Gale reached out, suddenly bumping into Kyrie. “Woah- hey, hey, Kyrie, it’s Gale. Shit- do you know what’s happening??”
Gale moved the wind to blow around them, sheltering them from the sand.
Gale turned to Ellie’s voice, calling back, “ELLIE! WE’RE OVER HERE!!”

Kyrie grabbed onto Ellie, steading both of them and hovering her wings around them. "Whoa- whoa, hey Gale, I don't know what's going on-"

The wind stilled around them all- a combined effort of all three of them, quieting the noisy air at once. Ellie held on tightly to her girlfriends, head lowered as the sand dropped from her hair. Ugh. Her chest was hurting real bad.
"I- I don't know what's happening either," Ellie eventually said after a moment. "I- oh, Gods, I'm so glad you guys are here-"
A pause- "I mean- it's not great we're all- h-here. But- I'm just really glad to see you guys."
