"Eatin' alone here, uh, dog?" Roman asked as he stepped up to Seki's side, holding a plate that was about overflowing with random food. @Twig | Seki / Aarni

Seki lifted their head, glancing at the man. The smell was quite overbearing, causing the eeveon's ears flick, eyes blink and snout scrunch up. She coughed lightly, and forced a smile. "Dog, huh? That's a new one so far, I'm collecting all the animal nick names. Yeah, it's just me, but you can sit down if you want, you seem like you need the food", Seki offered, looking at the other's famished figure. @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"Looks like a dog to me!" Roman said and sat down at the seat next to them. "And yeah, I do need it. I'm quite enjoying the selection here!" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

Seki shrugged. "I'll add it on the list." "It's alright. Definitely could be worse", Seki nodded, but unfortunately their appetite was pretty much gone because of the rancid smell next to them. "You look pretty happy for someone in our situation", 'especially for someone who looks and smells like they've been living off of rotting carcasses', they added in their mind. "Believe me, dog, this place is much better than the places i was before!" Roman smiled widely and shoved his face full of fancy cheese. Thankfully, he let himself swallow that bite before he spoke again. "Oh boy, not really, but after the party I had a lot of fun! "Dang, sorry to hear that", they hummed. "My name is Seki, by the way. And slow down, remember to chew", they cautioned and chuckled. Seki frowned, confused and worried. Their tail squirmed and ears lowered. "Really? I can't imagine that being fun, unless you like, got to beat 'em up." @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"I'm Roman." He said, like the lettuce. "I'd say it was mostly fun, the only part I didn't really like was when they set me on fire. The rest of it was great!" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

Seki's frown deepened, pushing their upper eyelids down into a incredulous squint, as their jaw dropped, as did their utensil. "They what?" Seki huffed out.

Roman picked up the fork they dropped and placed it back in to Seki's hand. "They lit my arms on fire, but it was only for a minute." Roman smiled. "And after that, they ate my hand, and then.. Hah, maybe I shouldn't say." @Twig | Seki / Aarni

"Pft- that's a funny way to say it. But nope, they took out this big dramatic knife and CHOP!! Then they ate it so gross like one of those babies eating spaghetti and it's just everywhere." Seki's ears lowered to point back, and their face twisted with disgust. They licked their bared teeth and wrinkled muzzle. "Holy fuck, that's freaky as hell!" they spat and shook themself, ears and hair fluttering and earrings chiming. "A fan of flame-cooked meat, eh?" Seki huffed, still licking the corners of their mouth and muzzle, and pushed their plate away. "What the fuck... what the hell did you ask for to get that treatment? And you said it was fun?" Roman just continued chuckling. "Sorry if I ruined your appetite." He said and continued eating his own food. "The fire thing was for cigarettes for Ryu, then the hand thing was for getting my stomach back, and the third.. I'm not sure it's so nice to talk about to strangers." @Twig | Seki / Aarni

"You didn't have your stomach?!" Seki tilted their head and looked at Roman with increasingly more confused and alarmed eyes, mixed with sympathy. That was the first thing they picked up on. "You don't gotta tell me if you don't wanna, but shit, man, you've been through some stuff. I'm really sorry to hear that. You can have mine too if you want." Seki pushed their plate closer to Roman now. "I'd say don't ask anything from that freak anymore, if it's gonna light you up for some damn cigarrets. "Nah, my ex took it out a few years ago.. At my request. But I realized it was a dumb request about a year ago now." Roman shrugged. He pushed the plate back toward Seki. "Aw thanks, but you don't need to do that I can get all the food I want here.. And why thank you, I know, I'm such a great friend. I even told her that she could kill me at our fight, and she was soooooo unappreciative! Can you believe it, after all of that?" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

Seki just stared for a while, his face returning to the disbelieving, open-mouthed expression. "Bro, buddy, you need help", he finally said steadily and kindly, a serious crlincle between their brows, and put a kind but firm paw on Roman's shoulder. "How old are you?" @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"Help? Nah, being here is enough! And I'm twenty-six, why do you ask?" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

Seki shook their head. "Being here is definitely only doing more harm to you, buddy. Hmm, you would be young enough to venefit from the youth programs we have, although, we are most likely from different universes." @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"What? Noooo, Naiyta fixed up two of my organs! And I do intend 100% on dying here, if I go back home I'm gonna go to super-hell when I die." Roman said. "And what do you mean youth programs? I dunno if dog years are different, but at 26 I'm a full fledged adult in basically every country I've been to." @Twig | Seki / Aarni

"Well, we have programs for young adults, from 18 to 29, that's what I meant. Hm... that is a good thing you got your organs fixed though, I dunno of I coulda fixed that for you. But what do you mean you'll go to super-hell if you die outside of here?" @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"My ex put a curse on me, if I die before killing her killer, my soul goes to the deeeeeeeepest pits of the cursed realm to be tortured for all eternity. I got taken to this event right as I was getting to the killers house, but to be honest I don't think I was going to win that fight. I would have died trying and be sent to the cursed realm anyway." Roman said. "Naiyta says when you die here you go to a different afterlife, which works out for me!" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

"Well shit. That's super unfair. Full offence, but your ex was a bitch of the highest order", Seki frowned. "Hm, but the cursed realm was destroyed, though...?" they mused, mostly to themself, and brushed their chin in thought. @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"I dunno, it gives me a headache when I think about it too much. But it's supposedly this huge, gross, slimy tentacle monster thing named Peerminent or something. It's kind of like a ghost itself, at least with how its body functions. The realm is kind of inside it, but it's also inside the realm... it gets really confusing, don't think about it too much. Anyway, this guy, uh, my grandfather, actually, escaped the cursed realm and managed to also bring it to Ninjago. He wanted to curse and rule everything with it. But the Ninja went and drowned the whole thing into the ocean. You know how ghosts dissolve in water? Yeah." @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

"..." Roman tapped his fork on the table anxiously. ".. I remember something like that being on the news. You're-.. Do you think it's that easy to destroy a realm? It didn't just go back to where it came from or something?" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

Seki shrugged. "Well my other grandpa who was stuck in there was on the world of the departed afterwards, so I'd think so?" @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

The anxious tapping increased in severity, and was now joined by Roman's foot tapping along as well. ".. How do you know that for sure? Did you go to the departed realm to see it?" @Twig | Seki / Aarni

"Well", Seki mused, leaning on the table with a reminiscing expression. "I did probably see him there, but I was such a small pup, I don't really remember anything from that long ago... I just remember a sort of calm, when I try to remember the world of the departed. My parents, however, also parted and were brought back, and they have told be about these things afterwards, and they did see him there, too." @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱

Sorry Seki, at the moment Roman didn't really care about all this revival lore. "Mhm. That's awesome." Roman said through gritted teeth. His knuckles were getting lighter around the fork he was gripping, and he finally let go of it and it clattered down to the table. "Hey. Seki. I might get going now. Thanks. "Hm? Yeah, no problem. And come by if you need help, hey. Take better care of yourself man, and stay safe", Seki said the last words with a reprimanding weight to them, but waved with a smile. @Mads | Roman 🥁 Asha 🎆 ? 🪱 (edited)
