After some interesting talks with interesting ghost, Darcy returned to his room to get some rest. He stopped, though, when he saw Peregrine laying flat on the floor in front of him. "Oh- uh. Are you alright?" @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

Peregrine didn't even look up and immediately started moping. "You don't care. Why should you? All I've done is annoy you, so this is deserved. Just get it over with." @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

"Well- I do care, actually. Some of us have empathy." Darcy grumbled. "If your injured, or sick, we should get you help." @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

Peregrine laughed dryly, without humour. "What's worth caring about? I'm nothing. They took everything from me." @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

Darcy crouched down next to Peregrine, keeping a hand on his glasses to not have them tip off his face. "Your powers, I presume you refer to? Seeing as you're... wingless?" @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

"... I heard we're trying to get the powers back- well, not we, but someone is. For you all." Darcy said hopefully. @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

Peregrine ignored Darcy. "Nobody will want me, now that I'm nothing. You have your powers, you can put me out of my misery and the world will thank you for it. I did something right, at least." @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

"I'm not doing that." Darcy said firmly. "We'll get you your powers back." @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

"Why not? You didn't want me to talk to you, easy way to get it." Peregrine sighed into the floor. "You hate me so much and yet won't take the opportunity handed to you." @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

"Of course you don't." Peregrine still didn't look up. "So many violent threats made against me and once I have nothing to gain from avoiding them, no one feels like carrying through." @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

Darcy sighed, and opened his mouth to say something in reply, but his attention was caught by the bright flash of light outside the window. "Peregrine- did you see that?" @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

"I'm laying face down on the ground, waiting to die, Darcy," Peregrine retorted. Probably a no. @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

Darcy didn't even acknowledge that. "It was a flash of light, from the graveyard, I think...." @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻

Darcy frowned, and went into his room where he could watch what was happening. He'd go but he's bound by weird timeline stuff to not do that. Bye Peregrine. @soul | peregrine 🎭 + ekmeros 🎻
