Briefly leaving her post in the main hospital, Albanes went to the underground infirmary and began rummaging through the cabinets. Madeline smiled back to Albanes, moving her hand back down to her side. "Thank you for giving me another chance." Madeline said. "I shouldn't have lied in the first place. I should have-.." Madeline tried to think. How could she even try to describe why she had 'lied'? The details she gave were so vivid, more than she could have simply imagined. "It's okay. I forgive you. I... understand that your powers were messing with your mind, making you do things you didn't want to." Albanes sighed. "But soon, we won't have to worry about that." @Mads|Roque🩸+Hannah🦈+Madeline

"Thank you, I'll probably spend some time in the chapel as well today." Madeline said and grabbed the handle of the door. "You don't think.. I already know they kept us together because you'd be able to heal me, and if you were at risk, my powers were strong... Astrid brought Roque into the infirmirary, where two distintively male voices were conversing quietly. Neither were Yeonaixho, though Roque might recognize one as that belonging to Desmondus. Astrid laid Roque out on one of the examination tables, and restrained her to it with both the limb-cuffs and the cross-body restraint. One of the men- not Desmondus- came over to the table. "I can't believe she was able to break out." "Clearly, we need better restraints within the cells." Desmondus replied. "Or maybe we should have her sedated constantly." "But isn't that... cruel?" Astrid countered. "Cruel like she is not? I'd doubt it." Desmondus scoffed. @Mads|Roque🩸+Hannah🦈+Madeline

Wellllllll there went her luck with avoiding men. Now she was in an even worse place! Not much she could do about it for now. At least Yeonaixho wasn't here. Or Petrai. Surprisingly. She tried to wiggle her fingers to see when she was gaining some movement back. @innsjo (glass🎸+ darcy🖋+ npcs❄)

Roque would be able to move her fingers, with considerable effort. Slowly, she might be able to say something, though her voice would be weak. "Astrid, I know you see the best in everyone," Said the other man. "But, please, just once. Try not to. It's not worth it, in her case." "But isn't this against everything we teach?" Astrid pleaded. "Please, I know this isn't how we're meant to treat-" "Silence." Desmondus ordered, and Astrid complied. "Other than the obvious," the other man said, superficially examine Roque's body, "She appears to be in relatively healthy condition. Or at least, no obvious injury. I'd have to consult with others to report confidently." "No need. This is good enough." Desmondus refuted. "If she dies, she dies." "Oh. She's fighting it." The other man reported. "I'll prepare another sedative." Desmondus sighed. He left Roque's side. "He has to look over you to check for injuries." Astrid said to Roque. "Astrid." The man said sternly. "Sorry." @Mads|Roque🩸+Hannah🦈+Madeline

She shifted, her fists shaking slightly. "And when he was stealing my powers, my harmless sound powers, he was all over me. I was forced to be motionless- but awake still- as he moved his hands all over me. Didn't really have a shirt on, don't think he cared. Must have just been coincidence. Before the man or Astrid could say anything, Desmondus returned to Roque's side. "I've prepared another sedative." He reported. "Shino, check the progress of the guards." "Yes, Desmondus." The man nodded, and left the infirmary. @Mads|Roque🩸+Hannah🦈+Madeline

Desmondus didn't answer, but slid the needle under Roque's skin. She'd begin to feel the same numbness she had before. Soon, Shino returned. He and Astrid began wheeling the examination table out of the infirmary... @Mads|Roque🩸+Hannah🦈+Madeline

She didn't bother to protest, it would just fall on deaf ears anyway. She didn't even get to get carried again. That was the best part.
