After whatever one would call the interaction between Kass and Peregrine, all the woman wanted (besides getting the chance to pluck out each feather out of the angel’s wings herself) was a place to sit down. Luckily, there was an open seat, though the table seemed to already occupied.

Kass's oversight could've easily been forgiven. Yeonaixho had sag himself at one of the smaller tables, out of the way of most of the party traffic. He hadn't drawn any attention to himself- in fact, no one else was there- no other guests, no dedicants. Not even a guard. He simply sat alone, enjoying a bowl of brothy soup.
"Of course, be my guest." He smiled, gesturing vaguely at the seats around him. "To whom do I owe the pleasure of meeting, though?" @Morgan | Kass + Ren

“Hello, Yeonaixo Sehwolh, from the letters, the pleasure is all mine,” Kass drummed her gloved hands on the table. “You sure like your titles here, which I am inclined to respect, even if I have… qualms. Yeonaixho pulled some of his hair back from his face. He seemed to notice how stilted Kass's compliments were, but his calm smile remained.
"Oh, thank you," He cupped his cheek in his hand. "We worked very hard to decorate the gala in time. Though, I do wonder- what sort of qualms do you have with my title? Are you of another faith, perhaps?" @Morgan | Kass + Ren

“I don’t have faith in most things or people,” was Kass’s only answer regarding religion, which only raised more questions.

"Interesting." Yeonaixho replied, not pressing it much further.
"Ah, it is a bit of a strange title, isn't it." He laughed. "The reasoning comes from a few factors, the first being the simplest. You see," he lifted both hands, "I use my powers through my hands, and my powers are sourced from my divinity."
"The second reason is a bit more... philosophical. Think about the nature of incarnation with me, will you? If we are to think of 'God', or any god, as an infinite, metaphysical entity, it's incarnations might be its body parts. An incarnations who's purpose is to see might be God's eye, an incarnation who's purpose is to speak as a prophet might be the mouth."

“Strange is one way to put it-” Kass remarked, cutting herself off to listen to Yeonaixho say his piece. Eyes, mouths… and this man, he just happened to be the hands. Kass was unfortunately still not buying it.

Yeonaixho couldn't even see Kass's skeletal hands. All that dramatic effort, wasted. "I'm glad you're smart enough to put that one together." He said.

"You can pose the argument all you'd like, it doesn't mean it's true." He clasped his own hands over the table. "The truth is, death is abound in this world- it's everywhere, unavoidable and inescapable, at least to most. Something that can avoid death is more notable than one that inflicts it."
He raised an eyebrow. "And now, what decay would draw you to it? It's against most human instincts to be fascinated by dead things, you know." @Morgan | Kass + Ren

“Death will claim everyone eventually, no matter how much you try to evade it,” Kass mused. “And I have pledged my life to it. If there ever was a god, death took it long, long, ago,” she said smugly.

It’s like you’ve only been surrounded by people that feed into your skewed beliefs and exist solely to stroke your ego and hold your all powerful hands through every step of the way.
