"Interrupting you wasn't impulsive, I simply didn't care to listen to you. If you don't want to be interrupted I'd suggest making your words worth hearing. That being said, I do infact have more questions, Incase you have worthwhile answers."
It almost seemed like he was actually trying to give her advice as opposed to insulting her, but the effect must've been the same either way.

It was absolutely a jerk move to ask someone a question and then go ahead and not listen for the answer whatsoever, but in his defense he did fall asleep misconvo with someone else on the dock so this isn't uncommon for him.

Isi hesitated, then nodded, starting forward towards them and gesturing for Darcy to follow. She tried not to breath in too much as they headed over.
"Are you guys okay? I smelled blood, me and Darcy got worried" she explained quickly, thank God the blood smell was dissipating for her but for now she was breathing through her mouth.
This was a problem when theyd entered the buffet too, all the smells had highly overwhelmed her but she pushed through for the food.

Darcy followed Isi and Roy out onto the docks. It was still dark out, and the winter wind was cold. He looked out onto the bleak, black horizon, and kept his arms wrapped tightly around his body. @Sauce | Roy 🌩 @sketti | Eben 🕶 + Isi 🍁

Actually, maybe he shouldn’t have invited them to come. He didn’t want anyone to get hurt on accident. “Hey. Um. I’m gonna…” He tried to think of a more eloquent way to word it but couldn’t. “I’m gonna use my powers. Don’t… don’t stand too close to me.”
Roy set his coat on the floor a few feet away. He didn’t need the zipper to catch his coat on fire again. His arms were slightly toned, and showed an array of scars akin to the lightning he controlled. He held his hands out off the side of the boat.
With that, arcs of light sprung from his hands and danced in the air. Touching the rolling waves, climbing into the clouds above, inviting the sky to join in. The scars on his body lit as he used his powers. The electricity crackled as it shot around the sky.
Slowly, he pulled his right arm down, concentrating his power into his left. He pulled his arm back, and punched it forward, a loud boom rang out and a bolt erupted from his body. Shooting out into the horizon, ending the light show.
Roy panted for a moment and rested his hands on the siding. Small static sparks remained but died down before he retrieved his coat.
“…. Hopefully.. that’ll last me the rest of the ride over.” He turned back to his companions, sheepish. “…sorry ‘bout that. It’s been a bit since I’ve let it out and it gets.. painful. If I don’t.”

Isi stayed back as he asked, but as the lightning show began she couldn't help but step forward a little with wonder. The fur on her legs stood on end. The lightning reflected perfectly in her completely black eyes, and she couldn't stop staring. The last bang of lightning made her jump backwards in a fight-or-flight kind of way, but she shook it off as best she could.
"Holy shit!" Her words were barely heard.
As soon as the lightning stopped, she looked over at Roy.
"That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!" She paused calming herself. "I mean- sorry, I'm just glad you could get it out"

He'd never seen anything like it- the way the light danced around in perfect, speeding arches, the way it speared through the dark sky like a lance thrown by a god. "Oh, wow..." was all he could say when it was over, adjusting his glasses. "That was impressive."
Someone else had a lot more to say. As soon as she'd seen the crack of lightning across the sky, Petrai rushed into the boat, her skirts all gathered up in her hands to allow her easier movement. Petrai breathed out a sigh through her nose. "Young man, I need you to understand that this highly flammable ship is our only method of transport onto the island. If it burns down while we are out on the water, we are all as good as doomed." She paused. Isi stayed quiet as she listened to them talk, having already asked Darcy this. She returned her hand to the railing, the fear of being outside on the boat returning. This wasn't helped by the fact that the boat had just taken off, and the sudden lurch caused them to trip against the railing, catching themselves and trying to make it look like they hadn't tripped.

Roy’s eyes went wide with amazement. “All of them? That’s pretty damn impressive!” He seemed a little confused by what Isi had said. “You can make food with words?” He looked back in Isi’s direction, noticing that she seemed a bit stressed. He was really enjoying the wind in his hair and the smell of the water, but he could see that Isi wasn’t having a good time. Isi nodded immediately to Darcy.
"My bad, I guess I get seasick, thanks-" she smiled, trying to brush it off. She did go over to where Darcy suggested, sitting down on one of the benches. They were still close enough to shore that she could see some seagulls. They contemplated calling one to take her mind off things but she didn't want to bring it far from home, plus they were kinda mean sometimes and liked crapping everywhere.
Darcy was right, it did feel a little better here. Instead of calling a seagull, (spider mention n stuff Incase anyone's sensitive to that) she found a small dock spider that must've crawled on, letting it scuttle onto her hand and just kinda chilling with it on the bench.

Isi wondered about how that that specific phrase could be really useful if Darcy could use it. Imagine having a pen that could do the same physical damage as a sword.
She is currently trying to find a name for her spider friend. She couldn't speak arachnid very well but little clicks and things seemed to translate okay and make the spider relax around her. It was around the size of her palm and was currently sitting on her shoulder as they both looked onto Roy and Darcy.

Isi did seem happier, distracted at least. She was still pretty aware of everything, but at least she was used to it and around people she could trust a bit more than everyone else.

Isi frowned a little. "Maybe that's why she came up to me at first, body heat, I dunno." She adjusted her scarf a little so that it covered the spider more.
"I dunno if I can talk to them, but I can communicate intent? I think- there were a lot of them in the shelter, they're more chill than people think" she was glad these two weren't the type to freak out about spiders.

Isi nodded at Darcy, laughing with him. She hadn't known that Darcy was keeping a record of her abilities other than the language stuff, but she didn't see the harm in it really.
"I dunno! I haven't really gotten the chance to check for all those other ones- I know that every time I've tried to communicate with a purely carnivorous animal it hasn't worked well, and I'm not really a big fan of water, so I doubt I can talk to fish, but I could try some time-" Isi mused.

Isi was glad the two where excited, and was glad to talk about their abilities, their ears even turned a little red at the tips- they weren't that used to people being super interested in this stuff.
"I wanna talk to all of them too! sometimes it's not super easy or fun though. Animals don't always wanna talk or help out, they're kinda like humans that way- some of them are chill and friendly, some of them fight over breakfast sausage." She shrugged.
