In spring of 207 AG, Earth Confederacy forces began occupying Najma tribe lands as part of the Sandbender Relocation Act. Soon after, Hadiyah and her younger brother were sent from the desert to live with their maternal aunt and uncle, Priya and Mohan Amiri, in the city of Jing Zi. Hadiyah spent most of her life unaware of her Avatarhood, thinking she was just an ordinary earthbender.
