Hannah began to head over toward her, but when she smelled what she had, she quickly changed direction to go get a plate of her own first. Once she gathered up a giant plate of sashimi with a bit of sushi on the side, she hurried over to Ryu. She placed the plate down and pulled out her chair.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Long shower, good meat, I couldn't really help myself."

Hannah was now covered up in her jacket and thick pants, so the bruising wasn't so easy to see.

"Eh. I heal fast, those bruises will be gone in a day or two." Hannah shrugged. "Not a shark fact, but an ocean fact, cephalopods like squids and octopuses are in the same phylum as bivalves and gastropods, clams and the like and snails and slugs. So, they're actually pretty related. I do just find the shell annoying, they taste fine once I get to the meat. And another fun fact! Squids and octopuses? They're in the phylum mollusca, like I said, and you obviously know about the gastropods and bivalves having shells.. But there is a hard part inside of cephalopods too! It's called a pen or a gladius, or if you're really weird a quill. It's a little solid structure in them that gives them a bit of form. It's cool, isn't it? To know how animals are related even though they look so different?" @ajjjjjjjj

Ryunoske ate as Hannah talked, not minding the completely long ramble from the other woman. She just nodded along as she stuffed her face full of the cephalopods or whatever the fuck they were. "Mhm. "Well, 'fish' is waaaaaay too broad of a subject to talk about briefly- I mean, there's the agnatha , those weird little jawless fish like lampreys and hagfish and stuff like that. Then all the rest are gnathostomates, jawed fish. Technically we're all jawed fish, by definition." She made a show of biting down on her next piece of meat. She didn't bother swallowing it before continuing. "Then there's those 'primitive' fishes like sturgeons and paddlefishes and sharks , it just means that they haven't changed a lot in the past few million years. I guess the lampreys and hagfishes count in that category too, but they're pretty lame, so I hesitate to group them in with sharks." @ajjjjjjjj

"Well, do you know what lampreys and hagfishes are? Lampreys are just fish parasites with these weird- sucker mouths with weird things in them. "That was my plan. My family had a decent amount of money before, and with the scholarships I got, I was planning on going.. Then after my dad was arrested, my grades dropped and I lost all my scholarships. And also my family became broke because he made most of the money." Hannah grumbled. "So I haven't been able to afford it and I've been stuck in my town's shitty community college. My mom doesn't care to help me, she doesn't want me moving back to California. So I'm working part time at a stupid grocery store and still going in to debt with no savings." @ajjjjjjjj

Ryunoske listened to Hannah's woes once again, finding it quite humorous that Hannah was so willing to talk to people about her issues. Then again, Hannah didn't hide the fact she wanted to kill Roy, so Ryu supposed this was more like Hannah complaining than actual woes.
