After leaving the chapel, Darcy wandered out onto the paths, lingering around before deciding where he wanted to go. He was... honestly, a bit overwhelmed with it all, and while it was cold, the fresh air was nice. He took a seat on one of the benches- thankfully, one that wasn't covered in snow, and simply took some time to enjoy the scenery.

After having a real chill time in the chapel, Kal figured that yeah, it would be pretty nice to take a walk around and see what he could check out. New place, new people, new things to see, and-.. Well, he couldn't say that there were new things to climb. There weren't too many things that he saw that stuck out to him as being 'climbable.' Though, it made sense, considering this was holy ground. It would be best to be respectful.

And so, Kal strolled around and had a nice time. Sure, he didn't grab himself a clock and was just walking around in a t-shirt like the dumbass he was, but he was having a grand-old time. When he spotted someone sitting on a bench, he figured that he should go off and make some besties.

He approached the person with a smile and a two-finger salute, greeting them.

"Oop- Sorry if I spooked you, I can be a bit loud," Kal apologized with a small chuckle. He rubbed the back of his neck.

As Kal stretched his arms and activated his abilities. Immediately, he boosted his adrenaline. From his skin, steam began to raise with the heat that his abilities were providing him.

I wonder what kind of things they're gonna have us do, and what kind of matches they'll have for us, too! I wonder if there's gonna be, like tagteam stuff, or singles, or things like that. Sounds cool as hell!"

"Oh, yes, it was more religious than expected." He nodded. "I noticed the mention of the church on the letter, but frankly, I didn't expect any of this. I hope there's some sort of tagteam, or non-combative event. I'm not the best fighter."

He seemed intrigued by Kal's comment about the invitations, but didn't press on it in fear of being inpolite. "Oh! Really? I would greatly appreciate it! I know we've just met, but we're getting along so well, I think we'd make quite a fine team."

Your body heats up when your adrenaline gets higher, so that's how I keep myself warm. Hah, I mostly use it for when I go rock climbing and when I do my parkour stuff, though. I go and make myself faster and stronger."

After leaving the gala a bit early, Isi barely seemed to mind the night air as they wandered the paths a little. It was already pretty dark, and despite their night vision being decent, they weren't looking where they were going, instead looking downwards with their arms tightly wrapped around themselves as they practically walked right into someone, just barely touching them before jumping back reflexively with a little yelp.

She looked at the person, eyes sharply reflecting back at them for a moment.

"I'm so sorry- didn't see you-" she sounded mildly worried.

Luckily it wasn't icy here, and talking with someone who didn't have a panic attack with 2(two) minutes of conversation with her made her less anxious. She was just glad there were two people better able to help him than her.

Isi tilted her head a little, clearly a little unsatisfied with this, but not aggressively so.

After the two had progressed to the paths, he found a relatively out of sight area and spread out the various plants and sticks, crushing a few in his stone hand to make them less tripable. He looked back at Glass as she talked.

"A lot does change in that time, I suppose you're right." It certainly had changed a lot for him, though he didn't know if Glass herself spoke from personal experience or general knowledge.

He shuffled and held his arms tighter around himself. “…um. W-well when I said I needed to work on controlling my powers… I- um.” He felt ashamed and frustrated- he hated talking about this. But he had to, Eben should understand how important it was for him to have better control of himself. He would be rightfully angry. Roy forced himself to explain.

“I- last night, my powers were going haywire and, Isi and Inu were there and I- I shoulda told them to leave but I was stupid and didn’t and-and I couldn’t control my powers and both of ‘em got hurt. It was all my fault for bein’ stupid and- and not t-tellin’ them to leave.” There was fear in his voice.

There were rapid footsteps beating against the stone path, occasionally muffled by a small pile of snow that didn't get salted over. The steps were running down the pathway toward the exit, though they were still quite far away from any way out of the temple grounds.

Hm. Seemed like it was Madeline, though she looked a bit odd now. Her usually pin straight hair was a mess, which was hard to pin to something about her changing or the wind hitting her face as she ran. The usually lighter side of her outfit was tinged black- even darker than the other side of her uniform. An arm made of a viscous black liquid had formed from where there was usually nothing, and every few steps a glimpse of the hidden side of her face would show- there was something in her eye socket, though it didn't look like her other eye.

Teya nodded hastily, and moved over to the large gate that led out onto the rolling volcanic fields. She fumbled with her keys, accidentally conducting her electricity through them more than once, before she unlocked and swung open that giant gate, letting a horrible gust of wind through.

Madeline tumbled back a few feet when the wind struck her, whipping her hair back in to even more of a frenzy.

She forced herself to her feet and tried to run at the door against the wind. Her bad arm kept trying to reach out toward Teya, and every time she pushed it down, it was with less force.

She was just about to cross the threshold of the gate when she suddenly paused, slowly turning to look at Teya. The right side of her face wasn't right- in her eye socket sat only a blackness, with a small, almost invisible, white pupil. The skin on that side didn't sit right either- like it was threatening to fall off at any moment.

She didn't say anything as she looked at the other guard, just wheezing out shallow breaths. Without warning, she shot her arm out at Teya, wrapping it around her waist and lifting her off the ground. As Madeline's bad arm wrapped around Teya, she screamed, trying aimlessly to free herself. Madeline had no reaction at the lightning, besides trying to shield her eyes from it, as it danced down her arm. Only once it reached her shoulder did she react, screaming and jolting back. She released Teya and stumbled back, hitting the side of the doorway. Not too far away, Yuga had been decorating the sides of the path with small snow fox statues. He had been aware of discussions happening elsewhere outside, but he didn't pay mind to them. Until he heard a sound that teared the air apart, and saw a flash that he could've sworn was lightning. He looked in the direction, his fur standing on end. Once the lightshow had somewhat calmed down, he hesitantly made his way on all fours towards the source, and saw a man. He didn't approach further, but stayed low and stretched his neck and moved his head to get a better look at him from where he was. His dark fur would have blended in the night, if he wasn't standing in the snow, his red eyes shining from the void of his face. @Sauce | Roy 🌩

Whether it was a testament to Yuga’s stealth or Roy’s overwhelmed emotions, Roy did not notice the fox’s presence.

After a very intensive light show Roy fell to his knees in the snow, breathing heavily.

With the less overbearing emotions calming, guilt began to drag down on him. What was wrong with him?

Hannah had apologized to him and he almost attacked her. He tried to listen but all he could do was be angry with her.

He was fine, really. He was healed, he shouldn’t be angry, she even apologized.

He sat in the snow quietly, feeling more awful by the second.

Yuga's ears turned back, and then forward again. His tail slowly moved, as he watched the man. He frowned, sniffed the air that smelled of electricity, and contempated. He was so exhausted, both from being overwhelmed and from having to hold down his powers. Man’s had a long day.

Madeline's trembling only seemed to worsen as Ryu picked her up, but she didn't outwardly protest it. When she moved her hand out of her pocket to hold on to Ryu's arm, the small glass jar that she had been trying to hide slipped out of her pocket and fell down in to the snow below.

The worm inside seemed to writhe and try its best to move away from the coldness, but it didn't have much choice until someone would pick it up again. Madeline hardly seemed to notice it falling out as she blankly stared off in to the distance. @ajjjjjjjj
